Roads are integral part of any transport system. A country’s road network should be efficient in order to maximize economic and social benefits. They play a significant role in achieving national development and contributing to the overall performance and social functioning of the community. It is an acknowledged fact that roads’ enhanced mobility takes people out of isolation and poverty. Further more roads are considered as the backbone of a state and play a vital role in the industry progress, agriculture, tourism and transport of a country.
Model Traffic roads are the routes, which have been made an exemplary position after making necessary changes in the existing structure. The current design at various locations requires extra traffic staff and equipments to manage the traffic and ensure smooth flow. We have selected university town road (the most busy area of the metropolitan) to make necessary changes in the physical layout and structure; to make it a model one.The basic survey, in coordination with PDA engineers has been completed where twenty five engineering fault have been pointed out.

The PDA started its work on the mentioned sites to reshape the current layout and designs to mould it as a model one.  Total 03 dedicated U-Turns along with 02 elevated U-turns will ensure free flow of traffic, reduce congestions and will designate it as model traffic route in the capital city.
